    Disappointed in the quality

While the countdown seems fine - Is disappointed in the quality. 2 of the shepherds staff's were feta he's when I opened the package and I cannot open drawer #13. I am afraid the knob will break off if I keep trying to open it.

This will be a delightful family tradition

This "Countdown to Christmas Nativity" will become one of our favorite family traditions.

All of the pieces that came in our set are well painted and endearing. My granddaughter especially loved the sheep. The larger pieces are wrapped in foam that will be re-useable to protect the pieces when we store them each year. The tiniest pieces are in very little zip lock baggies

Because some of the of the pieces (baby Jesus, the 5 sheep and the 2 bales of hay are very tiny and the staffs of Joseph and the shepherds are thin and fragile, opening the drawer of the cabinet and placing the figures in the creche will require careful supervision if children are young. The description states that it is not a toy--and it definitely is not a display to handle any more than you need to each day.

The cabinet and creche both seem to be well-made and sturdy.

My only disappointment was that the little paper storybook which came with it was not well packaged so most of the pages are crumpled. It is on slick paper so I may be able to iron it, but some of the pages are crumpled enough that they will not be able to be flattened.

I am afraid that other sets people buy will have the same problem. Everything else came carefully packaged, but the little paper book seemed to be thrown in as an afterthought without considering a way to package it so that the book would arrive safely, too.

The little book shows you with pictures of each piece--which piece belongs in each drawer, and there is a little rhyming narrative to read each day.

Over-all, I like the countdown cabinet with the little figures. With careful handling, I think it will last for many years.
